عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ: "
كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ، وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ، وَعُمَرُ يَفْتَتِحُونَ ﴿الْحَمْدُ لِلهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ ﴾قَالَ: قُلْتُ: بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ، قَالَ: " خَلْفَهَا، يَقُولُ: خَلْفَهَا، يَقُولُ: أَسْرِرْهَا
Translation
✧ The Prophet ﷺ, Abu Bakr, and 'Umar used to begin with 'Al-hamdu lillahi rabbil-'alamin.' He said: I said: 'Bismillah al-Rahman al-Rahim.' He said: 'After it,' he says: 'After it,' he says: 'Keep it silent.'
