عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ رَاشِدٍ، عَنْ خَالِدٍ، عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ عُبَادٍ قَالَ:
لَمَّا قَدِمْتُ الْمَدِينَةَ دَخَلْتُ الْمَسْجِدَ لِصَلَاةِ الْعَصْرِ، فَتَقَدَّمْتُ فِي الصَّفِّ الْأَوَّلِ، فَجَاءَ رَجُلٌ فَأَخَذَ بِمَنْكِبِي فَأَخَّرَنِي، وَقَامَ فِي مَقَامِي بَعْدَمَا كَبَّرَ الْإِمَامُ وَكَبَّرْتُ، فَلَمَّا فَرَغْنَا مِنَ الصَّلَاةِ الْتَفَتَ إِلَيَّ، فَقَالَ: إِنَّمَا أَخَّرْتُكَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ أَمَرَنَا أَنْ يُصَلِّيَ فِي الصَّفِّ الْأَوَّلِ الْمُهَاجِرُونَ وَالْأَنْصَارُ، فَعَرَفْتُ أَنَّكَ لَسْتَ مِنْهُمْ فَأَخَّرْتُكَ "، فَقُلْتُ: مَنْ هَذَا ؟ فَقَالُوا: أُبَيُّ بْنُ كَعْبٍ
Translation
✧ When I arrived in Madinah, I entered the mosque for the Asr prayer. I advanced to the first row, then a man came and took hold of my shoulder and moved me back, then stood in my place after the imam had said the takbir and I had said the takbir. When we finished the prayer, he turned to me and said: "I only moved you back because the Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded us that the Muhajirun and the Ansar should pray in the first row, and I knew that you were not one of them, so I moved you back." I said: "Who is this?" They said: "Ubayy b. Ka'b."
