عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ التَّيْمِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ النَّهْدِيِّ قَالَ:
كَانَ عُمَرُ يَأْمُرُ بِتَسْوِيَةِ الصُّفُوفِ وَيَقُولُ: " تَقَدَّمْ يَا فُلَانُ "، أُرَاهُ قَالَ: " لَا يَزَالُ قَوْمٌ يَسْتَأْخِرُونَ حَتَّى يُؤَخِّرَهُمُ اللهُ
Translation
✧ Umar would command the straightening of the rows and say: "Come forward, O so-and-so." I think he said: "A people will not cease staying behind until Allah puts them behind."
