عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ أَبِي رَوَّادٍ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ وَاسِعٍ،
أَنَّ رَجُلًا قَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ جَرٌّ مُخَمَّرٌ جَدِيدٌ أَحَبُّ إِلَيْكَ أَنْ تَتَوَضَّأَ مِنْهُ، أَوْ مِمَّا يَتَوَضَّأُ النَّاسُ مِنْهُ أَحَبُّ ؟ قَالَ: أَحَبُّ الْأَدْيَانِ إِلَى اللهِ الْحَنِيفِيَّةُ، قِيلَ: وَمَا الْحَنِيفِيَّةُ ؟ قَالَ: السَّمْحَةُ قَالَ: الْإِسْلَامُ الْوَاسِعُ
Translation
✧ A man said: O Messenger of God, a new sealed clay jar is dearer to you to perform ablution from, or from what people perform ablution from is dearer? He said: The religion most beloved to God is the tolerant one (al-hanifiyya). It was said: And what is al-hanifiyya? He said: The accommodating one. He said: The spacious Islam.
