✧ Whoever Passes in Front of the Worshipper

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْكَرِيمِ الْجَزَرِيِّ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ، مِنْ أَهْلِ الطَّائِفِ قَالَ:
جَاءَ كَلْبٌ، وَالنَّبِيُّ ﷺ يُصَلِّي بِالنَّاسِ صَلَاةَ الْعَصْرِ لِيَمُرَّ بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِمْ، فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْقَوْمِ: اللَّهُمَّ احْبِسْهُ، فَمَاتَ الْكَلْبُ، فَلَمَّا انْصَرَفَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ قَالَ: " أَيُّكُمْ دَعَا عَلَيْهِ ؟ " قَالَ الرَّجُلُ: أَنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ: لَوْ دَعَا عَلَى أُمَّةٍ مِنَ الْأُمَمِ لَاسْتُجِيبَ لَهُ
Translation
✧ A dog came while the Prophet ﷺ was praying the afternoon prayer with the people, about to pass in front of them. A man among the people said, 'O God, stop it,' and the dog died. When the Prophet ﷺ finished, he said, 'Which of you supplicated against it?' The man said, 'I did, O Messenger of God.' The Prophet ﷺ said, 'If he had supplicated against a nation among the nations, it would have been answered for him.'
