✧ The Extent of What Screens the Worshipper

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ، عَنْ حَمَّادٍ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ:
إِذَا كُنْتَ فِي الصَّلَاةِ فَوْقَ سَطْحٍ يَمُرُّ عَلَيْكَ النَّاسُ، فَكُنْتَ حَيْثُ لَا يُرَى النَّاسُ إِذَا مَرُّوا قَالَ سُفْيَانُ: " فَيَكُونُ الَّذِي يَمْنَعُكَ مِنْ أَنْ تَرَاهُمُ الَّذِي يَسْتُرُكَ
Translation
✧ If you are praying on a roof over which people pass, and you are where the people are not seen when they pass—Sufyan said: "Then the thing that prevents you from seeing them is what screens you."
