Translation

✧ Additional text: Ibn Umar sometimes we would meet him while he was fasting, and dinner would be brought to him after the call to Maghrib prayer had been made, and then the iqamah would be given while he could hear—meaning the prayer—yet he would neither leave his dinner nor hurry until he finished his dinner, then he would go out and pray. And he said: 'The Prophet of God ﷺ used to say: Do not hasten away from your dinner when it is brought to you.'
