✧ The Time of the Morning Prayer

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ هِنْدٍ بِنْتِ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَتْ:
كُنَّ نِسَاءً يَشْهَدْنَ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ صَلَاةَ الصُّبْحِ، فَيَنْصَرِفْنَ مُتَلَفِّعَاتٍ بِمُرُوطِهِنَّ مَا يُعْرَفْنَ مِنَ الْغَلَسِ، قَالَتْ: وَكَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ إِذَا سَلَّمَ مَكَثَ مَكَانَهُ قَلِيلًا، وَكَانُوا يَرَوْنَ أَنَّ ذَلِكَ كَيْمَا يَنْفُذُ النِّسَاءُ قَبْلَ الرِّجَالِ
Translation
✧ We, the women, used to attend the morning prayer with the Messenger of God ﷺ, and we would leave wrapped in our cloaks, unrecognizable because of the darkness. She said: When the Prophet ﷺ said the salam, he would remain in his place for a little while, and they thought that was so the women could leave before the men.
