✧ The Time of the Morning Prayer

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ،
أَنَّ رَجُلًا قَامَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَسَأَلَهُ عَنْ وَقْتِ الصُّبْحِ، فَأَمَرَ مُنَادِيَهُ، فَأَقَامَ عِنْدَ طُلُوعِ الْفَجْرِ، ثُمَّ أَمَرَهُ بَعْدُ أَنْ لَا يُقِيمَ حَتَّى يَأْمُرَهُ، فَخَلَّى عَنْهُ، حَتَّى أَسْفَرَ جِدًّا، ثُمَّ أَمَرَهُ، فَقَامَ فَصَلَّى بِهِ، ثُمَّ قَالَ: أَيْنَ السَّائِلُ عَنْ وَقْتِ الصَّلَاةِ ؟ فَقَامَ الرَّجُلُ فَقَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ: أَشَهِدْتَ مَعَنَا الصَّلَاتَيْنِ ؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ. قَالَ: مَا بَيْنَ الصَّلَاتَيْنِ وَقْتٌ
Translation
✧ A man stood up to the Prophet ﷺ and asked him about the time of the morning prayer. He ordered his caller, so he established it at the rising of dawn. Then he ordered him not to establish it until he commanded him. He left it until it became very bright. Then he ordered him, and he stood and prayed with him. Then he said: 'Where is the one asking about the time of the prayer?' The man stood up, and the Prophet ﷺ said to him: 'Did you witness the two prayers with us?' He said: 'Yes.' He said: 'Between the two prayers is a time.'
