✧ The Time of the Late Evening Prayer

أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ:
أَعْتَمَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بِالْعِشَاءِ ذَاتَ لَيْلَةٍ، فَنَادَاهُ عُمَرُ فَقَالَ: نَامَ النِّسَاءُ وَالصِّبْيَانُ فَخَرَجَ إِلَيْهِمْ فَقَالَ: مَا يَنْتَظِرُ هَذِهِ الصَّلَاةَ أَحَدٌ غَيْرُكُمْ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْأَرْضِ. قَالَ الزُّهْرِيُّ: وَلَمْ يَكُنْ يُصَلِّي يَوْمَئِذٍ إِلَّا مَنْ بِالْمَدِينَةِ
Translation
✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ once delayed the Isha prayer at night, and Umar called out to him: The women and children have slept. So he came out to them and said: No one on earth is waiting for this prayer except you. Al-Zuhri said: And at that time no one prayed it except those in Madinah.
