✧ The Time of the Late Evening Prayer

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي الْمُغِيرَةُ بْنُ حَكِيمٍ، عَنْ أُمِّ كُلْثُومٍ بِنْتِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ، أَخْبَرَتْهُ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ:
أَعْتَمَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ ذَاتَ لَيْلَةٍ، حَتَّى ذَهَبَ عَامَّةُ اللَّيْلِ، وَحَتَّى نَامَ أَهْلُ الْمَسْجِدِ، ثُمَّ خَرَجَ فَصَلَّى، فَقَالَ: إِنَّهُ لَوَقْتُهَا لَوْلَا أَنْ أَشُقَّ عَلَى أُمَّتِي
Translation
✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ once delayed the Isha prayer until most of the night had passed and the people of the mosque had slept. Then he came out and prayed, and said: This is indeed its time, were it not that I would make things difficult for my Ummah.
