✧ The Time of the Late Evening Prayer

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ:
كَتَبَ عُمَرُ إِلَى أَبِي مُوسَى أَنْ صَلُّوا صَلَاةَ الْعِشَاءِ فِيمَا بَيْنَكُمْ وَبَيْنَ ثُلُثِ اللَّيْلِ، فَإِنْ أَخَّرْتُمْ فَإِلَى شَطْرِ اللَّيْلِ، وَلَا تَكُونُوا مِنَ الْغَافِلِينَ
Translation
✧ Umar wrote to Abu Musa: Pray the Isha prayer between your time and a third of the night; if you delay, then up to half the night, and do not be among the heedless.
