عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي زِيَادٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ رَافِعٍ، مَوْلَى أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ،
أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ عَنْ وَقْتِ الصَّلَاةِ، فَقَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ: أَنَا أُخْبِرُكَ، صَلِّ الظُّهْرَ إِذَا كَانَ ظِلُّكَ مِثْلَكَ، وَالْعَصْرَ إِذَا كَانَ ظِلُّكَ مِثْلَيْكَ، وَالْمَغْرِبَ إِذَا غَرَبَتِ الشَّمْسُ، وَالْعِشَاءَ مَا بَيْنَكَ وَبَيْنَ ثُلُثِ اللَّيْلِ، فَإِنْ نِمْتَ إِلَى نِصْفِ اللَّيْلِ، فَلَا نَامَتْ عَيْنَاكَ، وَصَلِّ الصُّبْحَ بِغَلَسٍ
Translation
✧ He asked Abu Hurayrah about the prayer time. Abu Hurayrah said: I will inform you. Pray Dhuhr when your shadow equals your height; Asr when your shadow is twice your height; Maghrib when the sun sets; Isha between then and one-third of the night, and if you sleep until midnight, may your eyes not sleep; and pray Subh in the darkness.
