✧ The virtue of praying in congregation

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ،

أَنَّ رَجُلًا تَهَاوَنَ - أَوْ تَخَلَّفَ - عَنِ الصَّلَاةِ حَتَّى يُكَبِّرَ الْإِمَامُ، قَالَ ابْنُ مَسْعُودٍ، وَابْنُ عُمَرَ: لَمَا فَاتَكَ مِنْهَا خَيْرٌ مِنْ أَلْفٍ

Translation

✧ A man was negligent — or fell behind — from the prayer until the imam pronounced the takbir. Ibn Mas'ud and Ibn Umar said: "What you missed of it is better than a thousand."
