أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنِ ابْنِ طَاوُسٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ:
مَثَلُ الْإِسْلَامِ كَمَثَلِ شَجَرَةٍ، فَأَصْلُهَا الشَّهَادَةُ، وَسَاقُهَا كَذَا - شَيْئًا سَمَّاهُ - وَثَمَرُهَا الْوَرَعُ، وَلَا خَيْرَ فِي شَجَرَةٍ لَا ثَمَرَ لَهَا، وَلَا خَيْرَ فِي إِنْسَانٍ لَا وَرَعَ لَهُ
