✧ A man calls the adhan and forgets, so he makes it the iqama

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ عَنْ جَابِرٍ عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ
أَنَّهُ سُئِلَ عَنْ رَجُلٍ أَذَّنَ فَنَسِيَ فَأَقَامَ قَالَ الشَّعْبِيُّ: يُؤَذِّنُ وَيُقِيمُ قَالَ: تَفْسِيرُهُ عِنْدَنَا أَنْ يَجْعَلَ الْإِقَامَةَ أَذَانًا ثُمَّ يُقِيمُ
Translation
✧ He was asked about a man who called the adhan and forgot, so he made it the iqamah. Al-Sha'bi said: he should call the adhan and the iqamah. He said: its interpretation according to us is that he makes the iqamah an adhan, then calls the iqamah.
