✧ A man passing by the mosque and hearing the iqama

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ قَالَ:
سَأَلْتُ الْحَسَنَ قَالَ: قُلْتُ: نَمُرُّ بِالْمَسْجِدِ فَأَسْمَعُ بِالْإِقَامَةِ فَأُرِيدُ أَنْ أُجَاوِزَهُ إِلَى غَيْرِهِ، فَقَالَ: كَانَ الرَّجُلُ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ يَقُولُ لِأَخِيهِ إِذَا سَمِعَ الْإِقَامَةَ: احْتُبِسْتَ.
Translation
✧ I asked al-Hasan: I said, 'We pass by the mosque and hear the iqama and want to go beyond it to another.' He said, 'A Muslim man would say to his brother when he heard the iqama: "You have been detained."'
