✧ Hides of Dead Animals When Tanned

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ:
قُلْتُ لِعَطَاءٍ: أَيَبِيعُ الرَّجُلُ جُلُودَ الضَّأْنِ الْمَيْتَةِ لَمْ تُدْبَغْ ؟ قَالَ: مَا أُحِبُّ أَنْ تَأْكُلَ ثَمَنَهَا، وَإِنْ تُدْبَغْ
Translation
✧ I said to ʿAṭāʾ: May a man sell the hides of a dead sheep before they are tanned? He said: I would not like you to consume its price, even if it is tanned.
