✧ Hides of Dead Animals When Tanned

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَمَّنْ سَمِعَ الْحَسَنَ،
يَقُولُ فِي جُلُودِ الْمَيْتَةِ: طُهُورُهَا دِبَاغُهَا قَالَ: وَكَانَ الْحَسَنُ يَقُولُ: يُنْتَفَعُ بِهَا وَلَا تُبَاعُ
Translation
✧ He says regarding the hides of dead animals: Their purification is their tanning. He said: And al-Ḥasan used to say: They may be used but not sold.
