عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ،
أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ فَقَدَ رَجُلًا أَيَّامًا، فَإِمَّا دَخَلَ عَلَيْهِ وَإِمَّا لَقِيَهُ قَالَ: مِنْ أَيْنَ تَرَى ؟ قَالَ: اشْتَكَيْتُ فَمَا خَرَجْتُ لِصَلَاةٍ، وَلَا لِغَيْرِهَا، فَقَالَ عُمَرُ: إِنْ كُنْتَ مُجِيبًا شَيْئًا فَأَجِبِ الْفَلَاحَ
Translation
✧ Umar b. al-Khattab missed a man for some days, and either he entered upon him or met him. He said: "Where do you think you have been?" He said: "I was ill, so I did not go out for prayer or anything else." Umar said: "If you respond to anything, then respond to al-falah (success)."
