✧ The virtue of the adhan

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنْ إِسْرَائِيلَ، عَنْ أَبِي سِنَانٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي الْهُذَيْلِ، أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ قَالَ:
لَوْلَا أَنِّي أَخَافُ أَنْ يَكُونَ سُنَّةً مَا تَرَكْتُ الْأَذَانَ
Translation
✧ Were it not that I fear it would become a sunnah, I would not abandon the adhan.
