✧ What to say when hearing the adhan and remaining silent for it

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ،
كَانَ إِذَا سَمِعَ الْمُؤَذِّنَ قَالَ كَمَا يَقُولُ، وَإِذَا قَالَ: أَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا رَسُولُ اللهِ قَالَ: وَأَنَا
Translation
✧ When he heard the muezzin, he would say as he says, and when he said: "I bear witness that Muhammad is the Messenger of God," he would say: "And I too."
