✧ The call to prayer without ablution

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ:
قَالَ لِي عَطَاءٌ: حَقٌّ، وَسُنَّةٌ مَسْنُونَةٌ، أَنْ لَا يُؤَذِّنَ مُؤَذِّنٌ إِلَّا مُتَوَضِّئًا قَالَ: هُوَ مِنَ الصَّلَاةِ، وَهُوَ فَاتِحَةُ الصَّلَاةِ فَلَا يُؤَذِّنُ إِلَّا مُتَوَضِّئًا.
Translation
✧ Ata' said to me: "It is a right and an established sunnah that a mu'adhdhin should not call the adhan except in a state of ablution." He said: "It is part of the prayer, and it is the opening of the prayer, so he should not call the adhan except in a state of ablution."
