Translation

✧ During the governorship of Ibn al-Zubayr, he used to give the first call: ashhadu an la ilaha illa Allah, ashhadu an la ilaha illa Allah; ashhadu anna Muhammadan rasul Allah, ashhadu anna Muhammadan rasul Allah; hayya 'ala al-salah twice; hayya 'ala al-falah twice. I said to 'Amr: In the iqamah twice? He said: I do not know how they used to say the iqamah.
