✧ Announcing a lost animal in the mosque

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنِ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ، أَوْ غَيْرِهِ قَالَ:
سَمِعَ ابْنُ مَسْعُودٍ رَجُلًا يَنْشُدُ ضَالَّةً فِي الْمَسْجِدِ فَأَمْسَكَهُ وَانْتَهَرَهُ وَقَالَ: قَدْ نُهِينَا عَنْ هَذَا.
Translation
✧ Ibn Mas'ud heard a man announcing a lost animal in the mosque, so he seized him, rebuked him, and said: We have been forbidden from this.
