✧ A man spits to his right outside of prayer

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي ابْنُ نُعَيْمٍ،
أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عُمَرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ يَقُولُ لِابْنِهِ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ وَقَدْ بَصَقَ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ، وَهُوَ فِي مَسِيرٍ فَنَهَاهُ، عَنْ ذَلِكَ وَقَالَ: إِنَّكَ تُؤْذِي صَاحِبَكَ، ابْصُقْ عَنْ شِمَالِكَ
Translation
✧ He heard Umar b. Abd al-Aziz say to his son Abd al-Malik, who had spat to his right while on a journey, and he forbade him from that and said: 'You harm your companion. Spit to your left.'
