عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ قَالَ:
حُدِّثْتُ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ صَلَّى فِي نَعْلَيْهِ، ثُمَّ خَلَعَهُمَا فَوَضَعَهُمَا عَلَى يَسَارِهِ فَلَمَّا انْصَرَفَ قَالَ: لِمَ خَلَعْتُمْ نِعَالَكُمْ ؟ فَقَالُوا: رَأَيْنَاكَ خَلَعْتَ نَعْلَيْكَ فَخَلَعْنَا نِعَالَنَا، قَالَ: إِنَّمَا خَلَعْتُهُمَا أَنَّ جِبْرَائِيلَ جَاءَنِي، فَقَالَ: إِنَّ فِيهَا خَبَثًا فَإِذَا جِئْتُمْ أَبْوَابَ الْمَسْجِدِ - أَوِ الْمَسَاجِدَ - فَتَعَاهَدُوهَا، فَإِنْ كَانَ بِهَا خَبَثٌ فَحُكُّوهَا، ثُمَّ ادْخُلُوا فَصَلُّوا فِي نِعَالِكُمْ
Translation
✧ I was told that the Prophet ﷺ prayed in his sandals, then removed them and placed them on his left side. When he finished, he said: "Why did you remove your sandals?" They said: "We saw you remove your sandals, so we removed ours." He said: "I only removed them because Gabriel came to me and said that there was some impurity on them. So when you come to the doors of the mosque—or mosques—check them, and if there is impurity on them, scrape it off, then enter and pray in your sandals."
