✧ Praying in sandals

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ بْنِ عُتَيْبَةَ:
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ صَلَّى بِالنَّاسِ فَخَلَعَ نَعْلَيْهِ، فَخَلَعَ النَّاسُ نِعَالَهُمْ فَلَمَّا انْصَرَفَ قَالَ: مَا شَأْنُكُمْ ؟ فَقَالُوا: لَقَدْ رَأَيْنَاكَ خَلَعْتَ فَخَلَعْنَا، فَقَالَ: مَنْ شَاءَ فَلْيُصَلِّ فِي نَعْلَيْهِ، وَمَنْ شَاءَ فَلْيَخْلَعْهُمَا
Translation
✧ The Prophet ﷺ prayed with the people, then removed his sandals, so the people removed their sandals. When he finished, he said: "What is the matter with you?" They said: "We saw you remove yours, so we removed ours." He said: "Whoever wishes may pray in his sandals, and whoever wishes may remove them."
