Translation
✧ I said to Ata: How should the one with two braids wipe his head? He said: Only what is on his head from them, and he does not shave his head, nor does he wipe the ends of the hair. Then Ata placed his hand on his head and wiped the hair at its roots, and he passed his palms over what was on his head from it, and he poured his palms, and he did not return them going up against the hair. And I saw that he did not repeat the head. And I asked him about the one with long flowing hair (jumma). He said: This saying applies to both of them. And I saw Ubayd b. Umayr — and he had a jumma — and he would hold back what was over his face from it, and he did that between his ears and his head, and he would touch that which he put between his ears and his head, and he would not touch any of his jumma except what was on his head.
