✧ What Expiates the Ablution and the Prayer

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ حُمْرَانَ مَوْلَى عُثْمَانَ قَالَ:
جَلَسَ عُثْمَانُ بِالْمَقَاعِدِ فَدَعَا بِوَضُوءٍ فَتَوَضَّأَ، ثُمَّ قَالَ: وَاللهِ لَأُحَدِّثَنَّكُمْ بِحَدِيثٍ لَوْلَا آيَةٌ فِي كِتَابِ اللهِ مَا حَدَّثْتُكُمُوهُ، إِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ: مَا تَوَضَّأَ رَجُلٌ فَأَحْسَنَ وُضُوءَهُ إِلَّا غُفِرَ لَهُ مَا بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ الصَّلَاةِ الْأُخْرَى حَتَّى يُصَلِّيَهَا. قَالَ: أَنَا سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْهُ
Translation
✧ Uthman sat in the sitting places and called for water for ablution and performed ablution. Then he said: By Allah, I shall relate to you a hadith that were it not for a verse in the Book of Allah I would not relate to you. I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: No man performs ablution and does it well except that he is forgiven for what is between him and the next prayer until he prays it. He said: I heard it from him.
