أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ، أَنَّ سَعِيدَ بْنَ جُبَيْرٍ، أَخْبَرَهُ قَالَ:
أَرْسَلَتِ امْرَأَةٌ مُسْتَحَاضَةٌ إِلَى ابْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ غُلَامًا لَهَا - أَوْ مَوْلًى لَهَا - أَنِّي مُبْتَلَاةٌ لَمْ أُصَلِّ مُنْذُ كَذَا وَكَذَا - قَالَ: حَسِبْتُ أَنَّهُ قَالَ: مُنْذُ سَنَتَيْنِ - وَإِنِّي أَنْشُدُكَ اللهَ إِلَّا مَا بَيَّنْتَ لِي فِي دِينِي، قَالَ: وَكَتَبَتْ إِلَيْهِ أَنِّي أُفْتِيتُ أَنْ أَغْتَسِلَ فِي كُلِّ صَلَاةٍ، فَقَالَ ابْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ: لَا أَجِدُ لَهَا إِلَّا ذَلِكَ
Translation
✧ A mustahāḍah woman sent to Ibn al-Zubayr a slave of hers—or a mawlā of hers—saying: “I am afflicted; I have not prayed for such and such a time—I think he said: for two years—and I adjure you by Allah to clarify for me my religion.” And she wrote to him that she had been advised to perform ghusl for every prayer. Ibn al-Zubayr said: “I find nothing for her other than that.”
