عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَشْعَثَ بْنِ أَبِي الشَّعْثَاءِ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ قَالَ:
كُنْتُ عِنْدَ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ فَكَتَبَتْ إِلَيْهِ امْرَأَةٌ: إِنِّي اسْتُحِضْتُ مُنْذُ كَذَا وَكَذَا، وَإِنِّي حُدِّثْتُ أَنَّ عَلِيًّا كَانَ يَقُولُ: تَغْتَسِلُ عِنْدَ كُلِّ صَلَاةٍ، فَقَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ: مَا أَجِدُ لَهَا إِلَّا مَا قَالَ عَلِيٌّ
Translation
✧ I was with Ibn ʿAbbās when a woman wrote to him: “I have been suffering from istihāḍah for such and such a time, and I was told that ʿAlī used to say: ‘She should perform ghusl for every prayer.’” Ibn ʿAbbās said: “I find nothing for her other than what ʿAlī said.”
