عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ قَالَ عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ: وَقَدْ سَمِعْتُهُ أَنَا أَيْضًا عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ أُمِّ كُلْثُومٍ قَالَتْ:
أَمَرَتْنِي عَائِشَةُ فَطَلَيْتُهَا بِالنَّوْرَةِ، ثُمَّ طَلَيْتُهَا بِالْحِنَّاءِ عَلَى إِثْرِهَا، مَا بَيْنَ فَرْقِهَا إِلَى قَدَمِهَا فِي الْحَمَّامِ مِنْ حِصْنٍ كَانَ بِهَا، قَالَتْ: فَقُلْتُ لَهَا: أَلَمْ تَكُونِي تَنْهَيِ النِّسَاءَ ؟ فَقَالَتْ: إِنِّي سَقِيمَةٌ وَأَنَا أَنْهَى الْآنَ أَلَّا تَدْخُلَ امْرَأَةٌ الْحَمَّامَ إِلَّا مِنْ سَقَمٍ
Translation
✧ ʿĀʾishah ordered me, and I applied depilatory paste to her, then I applied henna immediately after it, from the parting of her hair to her feet, in a bathhouse that belonged to a fortress she had. She said: I said to her: Were you not the one who forbade women? She said: I am ill, and I now forbid that no woman should enter a bathhouse except due to illness.
