machine translationʿAbd al-Razzāq, from Abū Ḥanīfah, from Ḥammād, from Ibrāhīm, he said:
Machine translation, not reviewed
If a man divorces his wife with one divorce or two, and she menstruates one period or two, then she despairs of menstruation, let her begin anew a waiting period (ʿiddah) of three months. If she then menstruates afterward, let her observe the waiting period by what she has menstruated, and the waiting period of months has been voided. And the two inherit from each other as long as she is in her waiting period, if he holds the right of taking her back." He said: "And if a woman is divorced and she has already despaired of menstruation, let her observe a waiting period of three months. If she has observed a month, or two months, or more than that, and then menstruates, let her begin anew the waiting period of menstrual periods. If her menstruation then ceases and she despairs of menstruation, let her begin anew the waiting period of months, and she does not count anything of what has passed of her waiting period, whether of months or of periods."
