✧ Marriage, divorce, and taking back without evidence

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ:
فِي رَجُلٍ طَلَّقَ امْرَأَتَهُ حَتَّى إِذَا انْقَضَتِ الْعِدَّةُ قَالَ: قَدْ رَاجَعْتُهَا فِي عِدَّتِهَا ! وَأَنْكَرَتْ ذَلِكَ الْمَرْأَةُ. قَالَ: " تُسْتَحْلَفُ الْمَرْأَةُ، وَلَا يُصَدَّقُ عَلَيْهَا، وَهِيَ أَحَقُّ بِنَفْسِهَا؛ فَإِنِ اتَّفَقَا فَهِيَ امْرَأَتُهُ
Translation
✧ About a man who divorced his wife, and when the waiting period ended, he said: 'I took her back during her waiting period!' and the woman denied that. He said: 'The woman is made to swear an oath, and he is not believed against her; she has more right to herself. But if they agree, then she is his wife.'
