أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ،
أَنَّ حَفْصَةَ زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ جَاءَتْ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ بِكِتَابٍ مِنْ قَصَصِ يُوسُفَ فِي كَتِفٍ، فَجَعَلَتْ تَقْرَأُ عَلَيْهِ، وَالنَّبِيُّ ﷺ يَتَلَوَّنُ وَجْهُهُ، فَقَالَ: وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ، لَوْ أَتَاكُمْ يُوسُفُ وَأَنَا فِيكُمْ فَاتَّبَعْتُمُوهُ وَتَرَكْتُمُونِي لَضَلَلْتُمْ
Translation

machine translationʿAbd al-Razzāq informed us, he said: Maʿmar informed us, from al-Zuhrī,
✧ Hafsa, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ, came to the Prophet ﷺ with a book of the stories of Joseph on a shoulder blade. She began reading it to him, and the Prophet's ﷺ face changed color. He said, "By the One in whose hand is my soul, if Joseph came to you while I was among you and you followed him and left me, you would go astray."
