✧ Inheritance of the apostate

أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ رَاشِدٍ،
أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ كَتَبَ فِي رَجُلٍ أُسِرَ فَتَنَصَّرَ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ إِذَا عُلِمَ ذَلِكَ بَرِئَتْ مِنْهُ امْرَأَتُهُ، وَاعْتَدَّتْ مِنْهُ ثَلَاثَةَ قُرُوءٍ، وَدُفِعَ مَالُهُ إِلَى وَرَثَتِهِ الْمُسْلِمِينَ
Translation
✧ Umar b. Abd al-Aziz wrote concerning a Muslim man who was taken captive and became a Christian: when that is known, his wife is separated from him, and she observes an idda of three menstrual cycles, and his wealth is given to his Muslim heirs.
