✧ Inheritance of the apostate

أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ، عَمَّنْ حَدَّثَهُ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ بْنِ عُتَيْبَةَ
أَنَّ الْمُسْتَوْرِدَ الْعِجْلِيَّ ارْتَدَّ عَنِ الْإِسْلَامِ فَاسْتَتَابَهُ عَلِيٌّ، فَأَبَى أَنْ يَتُوبَ، فَقَتَلَهُ، وَقَسَّمَ مَالَهُ مِنْ وَرَثَتِهِ، وَأَمَرَ امْرَأَتَهُ أَنْ تَعْتَدَّ أَرْبَعَةَ أَشْهُرٍ وَعَشْرًا
Translation
✧ Al-Mustawrid al-Ijli apostatized from Islam. Ali asked him to repent, but he refused, so he killed him, divided his wealth among his heirs, and ordered his wife to observe an idda of four months and ten days.
