✧ What is taken from land by force

أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ
أَيُّمَا مَدِينَةٍ فُتِحَتْ عَنْوَةً فَهُمْ أَرِقَّاءُ، وَأَمْوَالُهُمْ لِلْمَسَاكِينِ. فَإِنْ أَسْلَمُوا قَبْلَ أَنْ يُقْسَمُوا فَهُمْ أَحْرَارٌ، وَأَمْوَالُهُمْ لِلْمَسَاكِينِ
Translation
✧ Any city that is taken by force, its people are slaves, and their wealth belongs to the poor. If they embrace Islam before they are divided up, they are free, and their wealth belongs to the poor.
