عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ قَالَ:
اسْتَعْمَلَنِي أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ، عَلَى الْأَيْلَةِ، فَقُلْتُ: اسْتَعْمَلْتَنِي عَلَى الْمَكْسِ مِنْ عَمَلِكَ، فَقَالَ: خُذْ مَا كَانَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ يَأْخُذُ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْإِسْلَامِ، إِذَا بَلَغَ مِائَتَيْ دِرْهَمٍ مِنْ كُلِّ أَرْبَعِينَ دِرْهَمًا دِرْهَمٌ، وَمِنْ أَهْلِ الذِّمَّةِ مِنْ كُلِّ عِشْرِينَ دِرْهَمًا دِرْهَمٌ، وَمِمَّنْ لَيْسَ مِنْ أَهْلِ الذِّمَّةِ مِنْ كُلِّ عَشَرَةِ دَرَاهِمَ دِرْهَمٌ
Translation
✧ Anas b. Malik appointed me over Ayla, and I said: "You have appointed me over the toll from your work." He said: "Take what 'Umar b. al-Khattab used to take from the people of Islam: when it reached two hundred dirhams, from every forty dirhams one dirham; and from the people of the covenant from every twenty dirhams one dirham; and from those who are not from the people of the covenant from every ten dirhams one dirham."
