أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَقُولُ:
الْمَرْأَةُ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ كَهَيْئَةِ الْحُرَّةِ الْمُسْلِمَةِ، عِدَّتُهَا وَطَلَاقُهَا، وَالْقِسْمَةُ لَهَا إِذَا كَانَتْ مَعَ الْمُسْلِمَةِ ". قَالَ: " وَتُنْكَحُ عَلَى الْمُسْلِمَةِ، وَمَنْ نَكَحَهَا فَقَدْ أَحْصَنَ، سُمِّينَ مُحْصَنَاتٍ
Translation
✧ A woman from the People of the Book is like a free Muslim woman: her waiting period and her divorce, and apportionment is made for her when she is with a Muslim woman." He said: "And she may be married in addition to a Muslim wife, and whoever marries her has thereby become muhsan; they are called muhsanat."
