أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي بَعْضُ أَهْلِ الرِّضَا
أَنَّ نَصْرَانِيًّا أَعْتَقَ مُسْلِمًا، فَقَالَ عُمَرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ: أَعْطُوهُ قِيمَتَهُ مِنْ بَيْتِ الْمَالِ، وَوَلَاؤُهُ لِلْمُسْلِمِينَ
Translation
✧ A Christian manumitted a Muslim, and Umar b. Abd al-Aziz said: Give him his value from the public treasury, and his wala' belongs to the Muslims.
