أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ بَنِي غِفَارٍ قَالَ: قَالَ عُمَرُ:
لَا تَشْتَرُوا رَقِيقَ أَهْلِ الذِّمَّةِ؛ فَإِنَّهُمْ أَهْلُ خَرَاجٍ، يُؤَدِّي بَعْضُهُمْ عَنْ بَعْضٍ مِنْ تِلَادِهِمْ
Translation

machine translationʿAbd al-Razzāq informed us, from Maʿmar, from Ayyūb, from a man of Banū Ghifār, who said: ʿUmar said:
✧ Do not buy the slaves of the protected people, for they are people of kharaj; some of them pay on behalf of others from their ancestral property.
