أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي حَكِيمُ بْنُ زُرَيْقٍ
أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ كَتَبَ إِلَى أَبِيهِ أَمَّا بَعْدُ، فَإِنِّي قَدْ كَتَبْتُ إِلَى عُمَّالِنَا أَنْ لَا يَتْرُكُوا عِنْدَ نَصْرَانِيٍّ مَمْلُوكًا مُسْلِمًا إِلَّا أُخِذَ فَبِيعَ، وَلَا امْرَأَةً مُسْلِمَةً تَحْتَ نَصْرَانِيٍّ إِلَّا فَرَّقُوا بَيْنَهُمَا، فَأَنْفِذْ ذَلِكَ فِيمَا قِبَلَكَ
Translation
✧ Umar b. Abd al-Aziz wrote to his father: To proceed: I have written to our governors that they should not leave with a Christian any Muslim slave except that he be taken and sold, nor a Muslim woman under a Christian except that they separate them. So carry that out in what is before you.
