حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَبِي زِيَادٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ الْمَدَنِيُّ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ خَارِجَةَ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّهُ
رَأَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺ تَجَرَّدَ لإِهْلاَلِهِ وَاغْتَسَلَ

machine translationAl-Tirmidhī graded it good (ḥasan) only because of the disagreement concerning ʿAbd al-Raḥmān b. Abī al-Zinād. He said: perhaps he knew ʿAbdullāh b. Yaʿqūb al-Madanī, and I do not know how that could be. Nor do I see that I am obliged to accept its authenticity (ṣiḥḥah), for I exerted myself to know him and did not find anyone who mentioned him.
