Notes
machine translationHe said: And on this topic there are narrations from Ibn ʿUmar and Abū Hurayrah. Abū ʿĪsā said: The hadith of ʿAbdullāh is a good and gharīb hadith (ḥasan gharīb). A group of the people of knowledge have regarded fasting on Friday as recommended, and what is disliked is only that one fast on Friday without fasting the day before it or the day after it. He said: Shuʿbah narrated this hadith from ʿĀṣim and did not trace it back to the Prophet (he did not raise it, marfūʿ).
