The Virtues of al-Hasan And al-Husain, May Allah Be Pleased With Them Both

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ الأَشَجُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عُقْبَةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي يُوسُفُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ يَقُولُ

سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَىُّ أَهْلِ بَيْتِكَ أَحَبُّ إِلَيْكَ قَالَ الْحَسَنُ وَالْحُسَيْنُ وَكَانَ يَقُولُ لِفَاطِمَةَ ادْعِي لِي ابْنَىَّ فَيَشُمُّهُمَا وَيَضُمُّهُمَا إِلَيْهِ

Translation

Chain of narrators

  3. Yūsuf b. Ibrāhīm
  4. Anas b. Mālik

That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was asked: "Which of the people of your house are most beloved to you?" He said: "Al-Hasan and Al-Husain." And he used to say to Fatimah: "Call my two sons for me so that I may smell them." And he would hug them.
