machine translationI say: al-Tirmidhī graded it good (ḥasan) because of its supporting narrations (shawāhid). As for the claim that the unknown status (jahālah) of the unknown Successor (tābiʿī) is removed because a trustworthy narrator (thiqah) narrated from him, as Mīrak said, this is not accepted.

machine translationHis statement "This is a good (ḥasan) hadith," etc. Al-Nasāʾī also recorded it. Mīrak said: Al-Tirmidhī graded it good (ḥasan) even though there is an unknown narrator in it, because he is a Successor (tābiʿī) and the narrator from him is trustworthy (thiqah), so his unknown status is removed from this angle. Al-Qārī said: Or considering the multiplicity of its chains of transmission, so it is good due to another (ḥasan li-ghayrihi). End of quote.
