Musnad ʿAṭiyyah al-Quraẓī (may Allah be pleased with him)
حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ عُمَيْرٍ، عَنْ عَطِيَّةَ الْقُرَظِيِّ قَالَ: عُرِضْتُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَوْمَ قُرَيْظَةَ، فَشَكُّوا فِيَّ، فَأَمَرَ بِي النَّبِيُّ ﷺ أَنْ يَنْظُرُوا: هَلْ أَنْبَتُّ بَعْدُ؟ فَنَظَرُوا، فَلَمْ يَجِدُونِي أَنْبَتُّ، فَخَلَّى عَنِّي وَأَلْحَقَنِي بِالسَّبْيِ
Translation
ʿAṭiyyah al-Quraẓī (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: I was brought before the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) ﷺ on the day of [the campaign against] Banū Qurayẓah, and they were uncertain about me [whether I had reached puberty]. So the Prophet (ﷺ) ﷺ ordered that they assess whether I had yet grown pubic hair. They examined me and found that I had not, so he ﷺ released me and placed me among the captives.
