Thulathiyyat (Musnad Ahmad) 127

Musnad of Abū Ḥamzah Anas ibn Mālik al-Anṣārī, the Servant of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) ﷺ

Translation

Anas ibn Mālik (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The call to prayer was announced. Those whose houses were near the mosque went home [to perform ablution], while those whose houses were far away remained [where they were]. A stone basin was brought to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) ﷺ, but it was too small for him to spread his full hand in it, so he brought his fingers together [into the basin]. Then all the remaining men performed their ablution [from that water]. Ḥumayd said: Anas was asked how many they were, and he replied, “Eighty or more.” Reference: Musnad Aḥmad 127
